Because I can’t imagine that I kept a lot of readers after an unannounced absence of well over a month. (Yes I can because so many of you are my good friends in other contexts.) But, you get back on the horse.

Good news: I’ve begun regular updating again this week, adding material to the backlog.

Bad news: They seem to show up fine on RSS feeds, but not on the website itself. (I.e., if you click the “previous” button from the latest visible strip, you can’t see them). I’ll let you know when I’ve worked out this kink.

Good news: Next week I’ll begin regular non-backlog updates; new strips with current dates, three times a week.

Additional potential good news: I’m going to see if I can do at least four and maybe five strips a week for a few weeks so that, in addition to the current strips, I’ll still be replacing the backlog stuff. We’ll see.

Bad news for long-time readers: A lot of this “new” material is re-worked strips from “Fresh Fish 1.0” in 2006-9. Truly new stuff is on the way, but old stuff wins out in terms of efficiently making up for lost time and getting back on track. (For what it’s worth, I am happy with some of the changes I’ve made.) The upshot to this is that the faster I burn through “old” material, the sooner Fresh Fish is running on 100% new material.

Greetings!

Since my last update, a couple of things have changed.

Secondly, some technical difficulties prevented me from uploading a comic on Monday, but this morning I uploaded one for Monday and one for today. They’re backdated, so you may need to check the archives or use the navigation arrows.

Thirdly, I noticed that Saturday is St. Patrick’s day, so I’m going to upload a relevant comic for that occasion on Friday, which will temporarily break my pattern of catching up on backlog comics.

Firstly, although I didn’t expect it ’til sometime next week, our daughter was born last week. Everyone is very healthy and very happy at our house, but it still remains to be seen how it’ll affect the comment for the next couple of weeks. But you can enjoy this week’s updates (some of which are dated a few weeks back.)
